NetWiRC

WiRC events are a unique experience, whether attendees gather in person or virtually, and they offer networking opportunities beyond the traditional work and volunteering spaces.

In fact, participants can network with professionals from across the retirement industry, which gives them insight that can help build and grow their businesses.

WiRC events also create meaningful opportunities for seasoned professionals to explore new career paths. Whether someone is just starting in the industry or serving in a senior executive role in the financial service industry, this group is a catalyst for forging new trends and sharing opportunities for growth, leadership, strength, and service.

History of WiRC

In 2018, the American Retirement Association (ARA) consolidated two annual events — The American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Women Business Leaders Forum (WBLF) and the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) Connect — to create the Women in Retirement Conference (WiRC). This action brought together two distinct groups: women advisors and TPAs.

In 2019, a third sister organization — the National Tax-Deferred Savings Association (NTSA) — joined the WiRC network.

And in 2020, the conference was expanded to include all five sister organizations: the American Society of Enrolled Actuaries (ASEA), ASPPA, NAPA, NTSA, and the Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA). That allowed participants to learn and network across disciplines and specialties.
